The images in the two related series, Becoming Present and Placing Identity, seek to create a feeling of displacement where people within the landscape setting are out of place,  consumed within the landscape around, moving from being objectively present to being subjectively entwined. The images echo the feeling of disconnection that is often present in modern life and the discord that can arise in the spaces between technological and non technological interactions. This disconnection and disembodiment so often experienced in contemporary life can harbor feelings of loss associated with an over abundant experience of a technologically mediated life.
